Service is at the heart of KAPPA CHI’s legacy. Through our support foundation, KAPPAS KARE, we are dedicated to uplifting communities and creating meaningful change. One of our core values is service, and each year we push ourselves to go further than the last.
Our goal is not only to raise awareness for important causes, but to make a real impact through donations and active participation in fundraiser campaigns. KAPPAS KARE isn’t just a campaign—it’s a commitment. During Fundraising Month in April, all collected funds are donated to the selected cause, ensuring our impact reaches a variety of communities over time.
M.S. PHOTO CAMPAIGN
In collaboration with Omega Tau Gamma, Kappa Chi hosted our first-ever April Fundraiser to support Multiple Sclerosis awareness and advocacy. With an original goal of L$25,000, our sisterhood and community came together in full force—raising an incredible L$82,000! After cashing out $289.15 USD, we proudly donated $305 to WE ARE ILL’s Empowering Black Women with MS: A Wellness & Self-Advocacy Project on May 3rd, 2024.
PROLACTINOMA CAMPAIGN
Since May 2024, Kappa Chi has proudly led a year-long initiative to raise both funds and awareness for prolactinoma—a rare, often undiagnosed condition that disproportionately affects women. Throughout this campaign, our sisterhood stood united in purpose: to shed light on a silent struggle and advocate for those affected. As April comes to a close, we’re honored to share that we raised a powerful L$545,373, allowing us to donate $1,827.77 USD to the Black Women’s Health Imperative (bwhi.org) in honor of our sister, Jaeda – Kween Xterior. 💜 This campaign was more than just a fundraiser—it was a movement. Together, we’ve raised awareness, empowered women, and made a meaningful impact in the fight for health equity. Thank you to every single person who donated, supported, or stood with us along the way.
